NovoLog® Frequently Asked Questions

NovoLog® is a fast-acting mealtime insulin that works quickly to help control blood sugar spikes that happen when you eat.

Regular human insulin is another mealtime insulin you may have heard of. NovoLog® is different from regular human insulin. It is an analog insulin, which is a more recent type of insulin designed to mimic the body's natural insulin response to blood sugar spikes after meals.

Take NovoLog® and eat within 5 to 10 minutes after injecting. That means you can take it when you are just about ready to eat. You don’t have to remember to take it a full 30 minutes before you eat, like you do with regular human insulin. NovoLog® has been taken by millions to help them reach their A1C goal since 2001.
